59 years and counting of bringing Community Theater to the stages (and the parks, halls and restaurants) in West Bend.
In 1962, the first show Musical Masquers produced was “The Pajama Game” to the delight of the area community. Now, 57 years later, Musical Masquers, Inc. carries on a proud tradition, and the tagline as “West Bend’s Longest Running Community Theater.” Each year, Musical Masquers, Inc. has produced at least one mainstage production. In 2012, we put together a showcase entitled “That’s Broadway” as part of our 50th anniversary celebration.
Many of our current performances are staged at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee at Washington County – but we also have been known to do dinner theater at area restaurants and halls, and perform cabaret shows or historical re-enactments at other community venues. We’re proud to be one of the first organizations to stage a production at the newly renovated west Bend High School Performing Arts Center. If there’s an opportunity to perform, chances are Musical Masquers, Inc. has been involved.
We have a board of directors that guides our organization. There are four elected officers, and six board director positions. Business leaders, educators, college students, financial advisors, attorneys and other professionals have sat on our board sharing their insights and guidance. Their combined experience in theater, love of the arts, and their business acumen has proved to be invaluable to the five-decade success story of Musical Masquers.
